EDISON, N.J. (JANUARY 24, 2023) – NAFA Fleet Management Association (NAFA), the vehicle fleet industry’s largest membership association, today unveiled its education session line-up for NAFA 2023 Institute & Expo, the industry’s largest gathering of fleet and mobility professionals. This year’s conference will take place April 17-19 in Baltimore, MD.

“There is no better place for fleet management industry education than NAFA 2023 Institute & Expo,” said Raymond Brisby, CAFM, NAFA Board President. “We are proud to announce this session line-up that will provide valuable insights and knowledge for fleet managers and industry professionals on the topics that matter most in today’s business environment.”

The education session program covers a range of industry topics from management best practices and operating your business in a recession to electric vehicles and the industry’s core challenges. Sessions include:

We Get By with a Little Help from Our Friends: How the Nation’s Largest Electric Utility Leverages Fleet Electrification Advisory
Florida Power & Light created a dedicated fleet program called FPL Evolution Fleet in collaboration with eIQ Mobility to accelerate electric vehicle fleet adoption. Attendees will learn from the program’s benchmark, hear real-life examples and lessons from real fleets working toward electrification, and get informed answers from fleet electrification experts who have worked on EVs with over 100 fleets encompassing 200,000 vehicles across the United States.

Your Roadmap to Success: The Top 10 Fleet Management Best Practices
This session will cover the top 10 best practices that should be top-of-mind for any fleet manager. Attendees will take away actionable ideas and a roadmap for how to make the best use of fleet resources, understand how to optimize fleet operations by leveraging data, and translate best practices into actionable steps to save time and money.

Recession-Proofing Your Fleet
During uncertain economic times, cash is king. This session will explore alternatives to remarketing and leasing arrangements to stay liquid and flexible during challenging economic times. Attendees will learn about sale and leaseback and how it works, understand the benefits of guaranteed offer programs, and discover methods to stay flexible, proactive, and responsive to the market.

Proven Strategies for Tackling the Growing Shortage of Qualified Technicians
In this session, senior fleet leaders will walk away with proven strategies they can put into action now to tackle the growing shortage of qualified technicians. Attendees will discover why having a pipeline of qualified technicians is more important now than ever, learn from a compilation of strategies and tactics from prior session attendees to design, gain support, and successfully implement an apprenticeship program as a means of tackling this growing problem, and explore how senior fleet leaders are using these same best practices in their race toward zero emissions.
