NAFA’s Essentials of Fleet Management is designed to connect newer fleet professionals into a national network of colleagues and provide the hands-on tools and resources that will help make your fleet a success. Discover tools that will allow you to benchmark your fleet and lead to rapid improvements or gains. Learn how to select the right vehicle as well as understand and evaluate risks in your fleet. Build skills—and relationships—that will help you move forward in the fleet community.

Through this program, you’ll learn to develop fleet policy templates and to implement comprehensive tools to help better optimize your organization’s operations. With these tools, learn how to determine total cost of ownership (TCO) over the lifetime of an asset, address risk management strategies and discuss Vehicle Equivalency Unit (VEU) analysis, and learn what measures matter most when analyzing your fleet.

Essentials of Fleet Management was created by fleet professionals and is geared toward those who are new, or relatively new, to their roles, and provides an immersion into the fleet management world in a safe-to-learn environment. For those with more experience in the profession, Essentials of Fleet Management provides an opportunity to get up to date on the latest tools and resources that will help you grow in your role. Many individuals participate in the program to help prepare themselves for promotions into higher positions or to eventually pursue the Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM) credential. Since the program is taught by industry experts, it’s a great opportunity to network and learn from those who already graduated from the program.
