NAFA’s Fleet Safety Symposium to Deliver Practical Strategies for Building Safer Fleets

Edison, NJ (August 4, 2026) – NAFA Fleet Management Association (NAFA), the vehicle fleet industry’s largest membership association, today unveiled the educational programming for its 2026 Fleet Safety Symposium on October 19 in National Harbor, Maryland. Co-located with the Fleet Forward Conference, the one-day certificate program will provide practical strategies, expert insights, and real-world case studies to help organizations strengthen safety culture, reduce risk, and improve fleet performance.

Designed for both corporate and government fleet professionals, the Fleet Safety Symposium will explore today’s most pressing fleet safety priorities through a full day of interactive educational sessions covering topics including safety measurement and key performance indicators, policy development, emerging safety technologies, driver engagement, communication, training, and building a lasting culture of safety.

Featured sessions include How is Safety Measured?, exploring the key performance indicators that drive accountability and continuous improvement; Safety Technology and Positioning Safety Technology, examining the latest innovations in telematics, driver monitoring systems, and technology integration; Safety Culture, focused on building organization-wide engagement around safe behaviors; and Communication Between Company and Driver, offering practical strategies to strengthen compliance, trust, and accountability. Attendees will earn eight hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit toward CAFM recertification and receive a digital Fleet Safety Guidebook, study guide, and online certificate exam. Individuals who successfully complete the exam will receive a professional certificate in Fleet Safety.  

The program concludes with the presentation of NAFA’s first-ever Fleet Safety Awards, recognizing government and commercial fleet organizations that exemplify a safety-first culture and set the standard for excellence in fleet safety. The awards program builds on NAFA’s commitment to creating efficient, sustainable, and safe fleets by recognizing organizations implementing industry-leading safety practices.

Fleet Safety Symposium attendees will also receive $200 off registration for the Fleet Forward Conference, taking place October 20–22 in National Harbor, where fleet leaders will explore the latest technologies, trends, and strategies shaping the future of fleet management.
