CAFM Scholarship Program

Thank you for your interest in the Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM) Scholarship Program. This program provides financial support to qualified candidates by covering fees associated with the CAFM certification program. The goal is to expand access to certification, remove financial barriers, and strengthen the profession by fostering a more diverse and inclusive credentialed community. Information about eligibility, criteria, and the application can be found below.

Application submission deadline: January 5, 2027.

Application Structure

Applicants must answer three questions that explain why they are applying for the NAFA CAFM Scholarship and how receiving the scholarship would affect your professional development.

Your three essay responses should address all three of the following areas. Each answer has a 1,000 character limit.

  • Financial need: Describe the personal or professional financial circumstances that make it difficult for you to pursue the CAFM certification without scholarship assistance. You are not required to disclose specific income or other highly personal information. Please provide enough context for the reviewers to understand the financial barrier you face, including whether financial support is available through your employer or another source.
  • Career relevance and impact: Explain how earning the CAFM credential relates to your current responsibilities, career goals, or desired entry into or advancement within the fleet management profession. Describe how you expect to apply the knowledge gained through the CAFM program and how the credential could strengthen your contributions to your organization, the fleet profession, or the communities served by your fleet.
  • Commitment to completion: Describe your readiness and plan for completing the CAFM program. Include the time, resources, support, or study practices you will use to remain engaged and make satisfactory progress toward earning the credential.

Please provide specific examples whenever possible. Responses will be evaluated based on financial need, the anticipated professional impact of earning the CAFM credential, demonstrated commitment to completing the program, and the completeness, professionalism, and authenticity of the application.
