Tim Coxwell, CAFM, serves as Fleet Director for the Leon County Sheriff’s Office in Tallahassee, Florida, a role he has held since 2013. He oversees a fleet of 576 vehicles and leads a team of six technicians, fostering collaboration between Fleet customers and staff to achieve the agency’s sustainability goals. Tim credits his CAFM certification as a cornerstone in transforming and strengthening his fleet operations. In recognition of his leadership and contributions to the profession, Tim was honored with NAFA’s 2026 Fleet Professional of the Year Award.

 

Nathan Schafer, CAFM, CPFP

Nathan Schafer, CAFM, CPFP is a Fleet Success Manager at RTA. He has nearly 25 years of experience in fleet management and maintenance/repair. Prior to joining RTA, Nathan was the Fleet Manager for SOLID Surface Care, Sandy City, UT and Salmon Electrical Contractors. He was also a Fleet Operations Manager in the United States Marine Corps and has many years turning wrenches supporting heavy duty diesel vehicles, construction, and agricultural equipment. His experience includes vehicle and equipment acquisition and disposal, maintenance and repair, fleet shop management, fleet replacement planning, customer service, and much more. Nathan’s leadership skills have helped him lead fleet organizations to successfully implement changes to improve shop processes, reduce fleet costs, and improve overall management of the fleets that he has been charged with managing. He is a Certified Public Fleet Professional (CPFP), earned his Certified Automotive Fleet Specialist (CAFS), Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM) and Sustainable Fleet Management Certificate from NAFA, is a certified VMRS Specialist, and has a bachelor’s degree from Weber State University and an MBA from Western Governors University. Nathan is a board member on APWA’s CPFP Certification Council and also part of the NAFA’s CAFM Faculty.

Jon Stafford is the Chief Commercial Officer of North American with twenty years’ experience in fleet management, automotive, finance, operations, and sales leadership. Certified Auto Fleet Manager (CAFM) and Certified Management Accountant (CMA) with exposure speaking at North American Fleet Administrators (NAFA) conference, Global Fleet Conference, MoveUSA, Fleet Forward and the Fleet Electrification US conference in Washington D.C. He speaks on topics related to total cost of ownership, utilization, and variable fleet management. Leadership tenure with Enterprise Fleet Management and LeasePlan USA building long-term mutually beneficial relationships with companies ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500.
