CAFM Office Hours: Risk Management with Beth Cooley (Dec. 2025)

The notion of “office hours” traces its roots back to an academic tradition. During this designated time, students were aware that they could visit a professor’s office to seek advice, discuss ideas, tackle challenges, and find solutions with the guidance of an expert. Now, you have the opportunity to benefit from Office Hours as well!  Rather than meeting with professors, you’ll have the chance to connect with a busy, knowledgeable, well-connected CAFM who has dedicated time specifically for you and your fellow candidates. As you aspire to attain your CAFM, your Office Hours Host is here to assist.

In this session, our faculty will:

showcase his career journey and experiences

• teach a 30-minute insider lesson on one competency – Risk Management

• discuss 4 practice questions (after you give them a try)

• share their favorite test taking pro-tip

• engage in open dialogue to answer your questions

Meet Your Host: Beth Cooley CAFM, Director, Department of General Services (DGS), Office of Fleet Management Services (OFMS).   Beth has over 20 years of fleet management experience and her background includes risk management, contract management, capital outlay construction and facility leases. She is responsible for a fleet of 3,000 vehicles assigned to over 175 state agencies and state colleges.  In addition, Beth serves as the Secretary/Treasurer with NAFA Board of Directors.  The CAFM adventure added to her creditability, expanded her knowledge and still offers a resource that she uses today.

When: November 5, 2025 12:00pm-1:00pm ET

Registration fee: There is no fee to attend but registration is required to receive the zoom link.
