SUMMARY:EVs2Scale2030 – EPRI's Online Tool for Utility Planning for Electrification at Scale
DESCRIPTION:This webinar will explain and demonstrate the work by the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) to align critical fleet information in online tools to facilitate electric utility industry preparation for transportation electrification. The presentation will focus on the unique attributes and needs of fleets. It will also review how fleets can support the EVs2Scale2030 initiative for the mutual benefit of both industries. This webinar will be conducted by EPRI\, which is the leading R&D organization for the electric utility industry. EPRI is taking the lead role for consolidating industry data and determining the energy and power requirements necessary for fleet electrification. \nWhen: January 30 starting at 3 p.m. ET \nRegistration: This is a free webinar for NAFA Members only. The Zoom link will be provided prior to the event start date. \nSpeakers: \nJamie Dunckley\nProgram Manager of Electric Transportation\nElectric Power Research Institute \nJamie leads the Electric Transportation Team at the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI). She also leads the eRoadMAP online tool\, part of the EVs2Scale2030 initiative. Both roles showcase a strong understanding of data and data analysis that help drive data driven actions. Working with both utilities and OEMs\, Jamie works to see how she can pull together data from both sides of the industry in order to aid in electrification planning efforts. \nJamie’s work at EPRI has touched on a wide range of topics from understanding incentives or actions that most influence EV adoption to tracking light duty EVs to understand where\, when and how much they charge. She has also lead planning for electrification where local vehicle charging is added together with building electrification to understand future electric loads. Jamie has B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a M.S. and PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Stanford University. In 2018 she was named one of Public Utilities Fortnightly’s Top Innovators of 2018 for her work tracking electric vehicle behavior. \nBritta K. Gross\nDirector of Transportation\nElectric Power Research Institute \nBritta Gross leads the Electric Power Research Institute’s (EPRI) transportation program as well as the EVs2Scale2030 initiative and is responsible for defining the market strategies needed to accelerate the electrification of the transportation system\, with an urgent focus on identifying the critical gaps that need to be addressed to achieve 2030 climate-aligned goals. \nBritta was formerly the Director of Advanced Vehicle Commercialization at General Motors\, responsible for the energy and infrastructure strategies required to enable the commercialization of battery and hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles. Britta is also currently a commissioner\, and former President\, of the Orlando Utilities Commission\, Orlando’s electric and water utility. \nShe has an Electrical Engineering degree from LSU and studied language arts at the University of Wurzburg in Germany. She has held numerous board seats\, including the Alliance for Transportation Electrification\, NACFE\, MobilityData\, Plug in America\, the Electric Drive Transportation Association (EDTA)\, and served as a Governor appointee on both the Massachusetts and Maryland EV Commissions.
