In this session learn about vehicle maintenance\, inventory management\, and other critical competencies. \n\nMonday\, September 15: Vehicle Fuel Management \n\nFuel is the second largest fleet vehicle expense\, so its management requires scrutiny to take every opportunity for minimizing costs and mitigating risk. In this session\, learn about  conventional and alternative fuels\, and uncover associated issues and policies. \n\nTuesday\, September 16: Financial Management \n\nUnderstanding financial concepts will help your fleet maintain operational and budgetary efficiency. Gain the ability to understand how personal use\, leasing\, purchasing\, reimbursement\, life cycle cost analysis\, and performance monitoring impact your fleet. \n\nWednesday\, September 17: Information Management \n\nWith general IT knowledge\, fleet professionals can interact with support staff to solve problems and enhance functionality. SUMMARY:FLAGFA Pre-Conference Workshop: CAFM Boot Camp\, Discipline – Financial Management Certificate Course (Sept 2025)
DESCRIPTION:While many organizations have an accounting department for handling their finances\, fleet professionals must have some knowledge of the financial issues that affect their fleets. Such financial issues may include a financial analysis of various acquisition options\, ability to conduct a lifecycle analysis\, basic accounting principles\, benchmarking\, outsourcing decisions\, and preparing and implementing a fleet budget.\nTopics will include Personal Use\, Vehicle Leasing\, Vehicle Purchasing\, Vehicle Reimbursement\, Budgeting\, Life Cycle Analysis\, and Performance Monitoring. \n\n \nThe course includes: \n\n    \nFinancial Management Digital Guidebook and Study Guide.\n         \nOnline Exam – First sitting is included. Additional sittings may be purchased if needed.\n         \nCertificate will be awarded to all participants who pass the online exam within one year of registration.\n\nFaculty: Tim Coxwell is the Fleet Director for the Leon County Sheriff’s Office in Tallahassee\, FL\, serving since 2013 and CAFM certified.
