DESCRIPTION:Please join NAFA Nation’s Capital Local Networking Group for a special event hosted by the Automotive Technology Department at the Northern Virginia Community College Manassas Campus on October 23. Come meet with campus dignitaries and tour the current automotive technology program while interacting with other fleet professionals\, students and faculty alike! As the only academic program that trains diesel technicians in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area\, NOVA has a significant opportunity to expand to meet market needs. The diesel and automotive programs are strategically positioned to support and supplement the incoming Skilled Trades Center. NOVA has been awarded $15 million to build the center and construction is scheduled to start in Fall 2024. The building will have dedicated spaces for diesel program instruction (two vehicle bays\, a diesel generator lab\, and a classroom) and will bring increased visibility to the Diesel Technology Program. \nWhen: October 23 starting at 9 a.m. ET \n\n \nWhere: Northern Virginia Community College – Manassas Campus\, 10950 Campus Dr\, Manassas\, VA 20109.
