Ray has over 36 years’ experience in the fleet industry, specializing in the management and maintenance of municipal and emergency services fleets and is currently the Manager, EMS Fleet Operations for Alberta Health Services. Ray has spent the last 10 years contributing to NAFA’s educational programs and was presented the distinguished Excellence in Education award in 2018. Ray is currently serving as Immediate Past President of the NAFA Board of Directors.

Sara Burnam, CAFM
Director, Fleet Management
Palm Beach County, FL Fleet Management

Sara Burnam, CAFM, has worked in the automotive industry for 26 years, an in the Fleet Management industry for over 16 years. She is currently the Director of Fleet Management for Palm Beach County, where she is responsible for maintaining 4,800 assets, 14 fuel sites, and the purchase of 350-500 assets annually. Sara previously held Fleet roles with the Ohio State Highway Patrol and the State of Ohio. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from The Ohio State University, her Master’s Degree in Leadership from Palm Beach Atlantic University, and her CAFM from NAFA in 2014. In 2023, she was awarded the Public Sector Fleet Manager of the Year by Government Fleet Magazine, and in 2023 and 2024 the Palm Beach County fleet placed top 20 in the 100 Best Fleets in The Americas contest. Sara has held multiple volunteer positions with NAFA on the local and national level, and is currently serving on the NAFA Board of Directors.

David Hayward, CAFM

David Hayward is a Fleet and Procurement professional with over 20 years of experience. David has a unique resume which crosses multiple fleet categories including Global Fleet Management, Fleet Operations, and Procurement with Wyeth, Rentokil, Teva Pharmaceuticals, Deloitte Consulting and now ABM. His experience in Pharmaceuticals, Service Companies, Heavy Duty Fleets and Government Fleet have enabled David to create a large network within many areas of the fleet world. This diversity gives him some exceptional perspectives on the Fleet Industry which he has used in his capacity as board director and Vice President at NAFA, Fleet Management Association. David earned his CAFM in 2020. He has participated in several seminars, and has spoken at many Fleet conferences including NAFA’s I&E and The Global Fleet Conference on the topics of Global Fleet, Procurement, and Strategic Partnerships. David is from Ireland and now resides in Collegeville, PA with his wife of 17 years, Christine, and their three children, Thomas, Charlotte, & George.
