Strategies to Mitigate Risk in Fleet Management

We heard from a number of attendees after our March meeting that Shari Goggin’s presentation on Negligent Entrustment and Vicarious Liability “scared them” and “thought they would not be in a good place if their company was involved in litigation as a result of an accident.”

As Shari mentioned in her presentation, Fleet Managers of DOT Regulated and Non-Regulated Fleets can absolutely take steps to make your organization more defensible in the event of litigation or a DOT Audit.  Nancy James (J.J. Keller & Associates) and Eliot Bensel (CEI) will review strategies that you, as a fleet manager, can put in practice to mitigate risk in your fleet operations.  This will be an interactive meeting so please come with questions.

Topics include:
  • Driver Compliance (Hiring, Training, Monitoring)
  • Vehicle Compliance (Maintenance Policies/Management)
  • Accident Management
  • Policy Development and Updates
  • Analyzing Your Data – And Taking Necessary Action Roale Road
    Waertown, MA 02472
