“I have worked in fleet management at TETRA Technologies for about 9 years. The role started out as a general procurement position, but by the third year evolved to become 100% fleet. In my role today I am responsible for managing all aspects of a fleet of over 1500 vehicles and over 1500 trailers, across the U.S.
“The most important thing I learned in the CAFM® program is the liability aspect that fleet managers are faced with. Negligent entrustment is a real risk, so it is important that fleet managers develop and enforce strong policies to mitigate that risk.
“Achieving the CAFM® has directly helped me in my career, because shortly after receiving it I was officially promoted into a Corporate Fleet Manager position. It has helped to build credibility in my position, by having the certification. In addition, it has helped me to build stronger study skills, which lead me to completing a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, and I am now in the process of pursuing a Global MBA degree.”
