Patrick M. Bartole, CAFM® is the Automotive Fleet Manager for New Jersey City University. He began his employment at NJCU in 1994 as an Automotive Mechanic. Under his leadership; he proactively has built the fleet department from its foundation. He oversees the selection, purchase, operation, maintenance, and replacement of the University’s diverse fleet of vehicles and motorized equipment.
Bartole is a ten-year NAFA Member, a CAFM® and a Certified Automotive Emission Repair Technician (CERT).
“The case study part of my exam forced me to improve my writing skills which enhanced my reports to management,” Patrick said. In 2003, a case study was required to graduate CAFM®, I still use this same format for my reporting to senior management and always receive compliments.
“The CAFM® made me a better, smarter, and more-qualified fleet management professional. Prior to CAFM®, I was considered the auto mechanic but afterward my peers and senior managers considered me a ‘fleet manager.’ Today, when I give my professional recommendation it is merited especially because of CAFM®.”
