“I started my fleet career in 1975 with a Fortune 500 company and joined NAFA in 1980. In 1990 I went to the Public Sector as Fleet Director for the town of Greenwich, CT, until 2009 when I retired. (I am) proud to have completed the Wharton CFM program (precursor to the CAFM® program) in 1987.
“As Fleet Director many objectives were achieved, including meeting the requirements for an ASE Blue Seal facility, since 2005, with pay increases for the technicians, successfully outsourcing the parts room function in 1999, implementing Outcome Based Budget for four fiscal years, and the department received recognition as a Top 100 Best Fleets in North America for four consecutive years and number 14 in 2009.
“As an active Member of NAFA, I served five terms as Chapter Chair of the Inter-County Chapter, and various positions over 23 years on the National Board of Governors, twice nominated for Fleet Manager of the Year (1996 & 2007) and recipient of the Outstanding Chapter Award 2000.”
