Joe LaRosa and Ron Lasman Receive NAFA’s Honorary Lifetime Membership Award
(MAY 17, 2017 – PRINCETON, NJ) – Honorary Lifetime Membership is one of the highest honors NAFA Fleet Management Association can bestow on an individual. It denotes NAFA’s recognition of an individual’s outstanding professional and personal contributions to the Association. At NAFA’s 2017 Institute & Expo, April 25-28 in Tampa, Florida, two members were recognized for their exemplary dedication: Regular Member Joe LaRosa and Associate Member Ron Lasman.
LaRosa served as the Association’s first-ever International Vice President when the position was formed in 2011. NAFA President Bryan Flansburg, CAFM®, further noted that LaRosa’s expertise and foresight helped bring the Association’s International Fleet Academy and first Global Fleet Management Guide into being.
LaRosa has also served as Vice President on NAFA’s Board of Directors and as Chair of the National Audit Committee.
Flansburg noted that after he retired from fleet, LaRosa volunteered his expertise for the Millhill Child and Family Development Center in Trenton, New Jersey, an inner-city charitable organization serving abused and neglected children and families which provides educational and behavioral health services.
Ron Lasman has served on various boards for Philadelphia Chapter — as a Regular and Associate Member — on multiple occasions. Further, Lasman has been active with 17 NAFA chapters and has often presented or participated in chapter meeting topics.
Flansburg said of Lasman, ”After 46 years of work and service in the auto industry — as a car dealer, a fleet manager, and as an OEM representative — he has recently retired. While it is more than well-earned, what he brings to our Association and to our community is incalculable.”
NAFA once again congratulates Joe LaRosa and Ron Lasman in regard to this honor, and thanks them for their service and dedication to fleet professionalism and to the Association.
