Utilimarc Issues Light-Duty Pickup Report For NAFA Members

(PRINCETON, NJ - OCTOBER 12, 2012) -- The art of benchmarking is utilizing data to its full potential - matching your organization’s performance against your peers. If information is power, the resources provided by Utilimarc(R) will make your fleet stronger than ever. One of the leading aggregators of fleet benchmarking data, NAFA is proud to offer Utilimarc’s(R) latest report, Light-Duty Pickup, at no cost as a benefit of membership in the Association.

The Light-Duty Pickup Report is the second report released from Utilimarc(R) to be made available at no cost to NAFA Members. The report includes data on the total average annual cost for light-duty pickups; operating costs per mile (net fuel); average annual internal technician labor hours per 1,000 miles driven; average annual miles driven; and more. This valuable data would normally cost hundreds or thousands of dollars for an organization.

"NAFA is proud to be able to offer such valuable information to our Members," said NAFA’s Executive Director Phillip E. Russo, CAE. "Utilimarc’s(R) in-depth benchmarking databases and services meet all of the criteria and guidelines set by NAFA. Their information is invaluable, and provides excellent insights into the industry."

Benchmarking data, especially that which is often complex in its very nature, is extremely important for fleet managers. Utilimarc(R) -- a national consulting group that offers internal and external fleet benchmarking, electronic reporting, and electronic analytical tools for large diverse fleets nationwide -- is the leader in the field. Utilimarc’s(R) data analysis helps fleet managers develop fleet performance awareness and validate fleet effectiveness. In essence, their benchmarking data is a key to maximizing revenues while reducing costs.

The Utilimarc(R) methodology helps to enhance fleet operations by allowing the user to compare fleet performance internally between departments or agencies or externally to their peers by measuring important fleet data such as equipment age, mechanic wages, vehicle utilization, and more. The data helps the user develop electronic reports such as cost per mile, underutilized equipment, and operating costs, while formulating the ideal lifecycle modeling using the Utilimarc(R) lifecycle model and electronic analysis.
